About Me

I was born in London and studied illustration at Ealing School of Art where I graduated with distinction in 1975. I worked in a design studio in London before moving to Oxford in 1978.

After many years of devoting my time to pencil and pen & ink drawings, I took up etching, which I love, although it is a very challenging and demanding medium. I now devote most of my creative energies to painting with acrylic paint on canvas, and drawing: both digitally and on paper.

My work has been accepted for the Mall Gallery National Print Exhibition 2002 and Originals 2006, and I have been invited to exhibit at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Contemporary Print Exhibition 2003, 2004; The RBSA Pastel and Pencil Drawing Exhibition 2001. I have exhibited at Printspace Bankside, London; The Affordable Art Fair Battersea, 2003 annually to date; The Brighton Art Fair 2004, 2006; The Contemporary Art Fair Battersea and annually during the Oxford Artweeks Festival. I also took part in the Edinburgh Art Fair 2011; I regularly exhibit with The Oxford Printmakers, venues including; The Ashmolean Museum, Christchurch Picture Gallery, Linacre College, Woodstock County Museum, Radley College, The Said Building and Green College Oxford. I have also shown work at the Glasgow Art Show, the Chelsea Art Fair and Printfest, Cumbria.

I have work in the collection of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford and Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, London.

I have been commissioned to illustrate books, brochures, information panels and a series of drawings for a property development company in Oxford. I was commissioned by The Oxford Radcliffe Hospital NHS Trust to make a 42 plate etching depicting hospital life, – architecture, people and technology. I have also completed a commission of a series of etchings and paintings of a house and gardens in Hampshire.

I am a member of the Oxford Printmaker's Cooperative and also a member of Oxford Art Society.
